For four decades the Davis Family has been working together in the residential architectural design, construction, and interior design business, in the San Francisco Bay Area in California, USA. Christopher Davis, worked for seven years as an architectural designer on staff in the family-owned business, followed by several years with other Bay Area architectural firms.  

Chris has been traveling to Costa Rica since 2009, with a few extended stays of several months, and is now living in the Guanacaste region full time.. He loves the country, the Pura Vida lifestyle, the focus on sustainable and eco-conscious living, and the Tico culture. He's visited and stayed in a variety of areas in the country, and met some great people in his travels. From the very first trips, he was inspired to design several architectural projects with the dream of actually building them, someday, and now his dream is reality.

 

Bob and Susan left the Bay Area in 2015, retiring to their mountain home in Northern California, where they pursue their passions for Art and community involvement, while embarking on this new opportunity for a collaborative family business; one which Chris can manage day-to-day while living full-time at the beach in Costa Rica.

 

This is the type of project the Davis Family knows a lot about and has had decades of experience doing; though now in a country with a different culture, different climate, different language, and different rules and regulations. The need for an experienced and expert Costa Rican team is most critical to the success of GDF Fractal, a Costa Rican Corporation.
